Vintage Adidas fitted performance bike shorts (c. 2002-2006)
Technical fitted shorts from adidas’ early-to-mid 2000s women’s training line, a period where the brand heavily explored bold colour-blocking and streamlined athletic silhouettes influenced by running, studio training and emerging Y2K fitness styling. This pair features a navy base with vibrant red mesh side panels, contrast white trim and subtle embroidered adidas branding to the front.
Constructed from a smooth stretch cotton feel fabric, the shorts are cut with a close body hugging fit and longer bike-short silhouette typical of the era. Mesh side inserts improve breathability while adding a more dynamic, panelled look, with contrast 3 Stripes detailing positioned at the rear waistband as a subtle nod to classic adidas design language.
The older embroidered performance logo, woven international size tag and construction details place these within adidas’ early 2000s athletic output, before compression-led training product became more technical and minimal later in the decade.
